Morrisons has just launched a gluten free essentials box with next day delivery

I know lots of people have been struggling to get gluten-free essentials lately.
For me, I’ve found it has got a little bit easier and I managed to get some gluten-free cereal and flour yesterday.

I also have been buying bits online as I mentioned in my ‘9 gluten free baking kits to buy online’ and my ‘gluten and dairy-free recipe boxes‘ post but I know lots of you have done an online supermarket shop, only to find the gluten-free essentials you’ve ordered are suddenly out of stock or, worse, been replaced by gluten-containing substitutions!

Morrison’s have already launched an essentials box but they’ve today launched a gluten-free version of this too.

They are a great way of making sure you get the essentials and they are insulated so can be left on the doorstep should you be taking your daily walk.

The good thing is these boxes are delivered differently via DPD so I believe you can get one even if you can’t get a regular delivery slot. Morrisons say they can currently honor next day delivery if ordered before 3pm but state it is open to change.

What’s included in Morrison’s gluten free box?

There are quite a few different items in this box that you might be in short supply of. First of all, the basics that are naturally gluten-free: milk, cheese (sadly no dairy-free options), potatoes, veg, tomatoes, and rice.

Then there’s meat-such as gluten free sausages, and mince meat.

Finally, there are the real gluten-free essentials and I’m impressed by how many there are included: pasta, stock cubes, two types of biscuits, cereal, crackers, brioche buns and a farmhouse loaf to name a few. Just one thing missing: the f word-flour!!! If you are looking to do some baking, I’d recommend my gluten-free baking kits that you can still order online post.

Will I be buying it? For now, I’ve been able to get stock of things pretty easily but I think this is really good value for money; especially if you can have milk and cheese!

It really is everything you would need gluten-free for a week and if it had dairy-free options it would be even better! An alternative option is a recipe box (you can see my roundup of the recipe boxes that are gluten-free and still delivering)
