The ultimate gluten and dairy-free Christmas food and drink guide!

It’s CHRISTMAS. And nothing says Christmas like tons of food and drink. Being gluten and dairy-free makes things a bit trickier but by no means impossible! You just need to shop around a little to fill your fridge and cupboards with your goodies. Read on for the ultimate gluten and dairy-free Christmas food and drink guide. From Christmas cake to festive veg, I’ve got you covered…

Just a quick disclaimer: some of the items were sent to me to try with no obligation to post. I’m just sharing everything I love this Christmas!

Festive feasting: Snacks

The Deluxe Christmas Vegan Larder Gift Box

263F4D18 9B8C 4775 932F AEDFAE372CF6

If you are looking for everything you need for Christmas snacking in one handy place, I can’t recommend Vegan Larder more highly. Their Deluxe Christmas box can also be ordered gluten-free and has everything you need: from gravy to gluten-free, vegan wagon wheels (which will actually make your Christmas), pate, crackers, and some gorgeous vegan chocolate too. I happen to think this makes such a great gift too.

Popcorn Shed Santa Popcorn

I came across Popcorn Shed at the Good Food Show. Every flavour is gluten-free but they also have a brand new vegan caramel popcorn flavour which is delicious and tastes just like the regular butter popcorn.

Lidl/Schar Pringles

0751C13F 2F7B 473A B16E C935A5E039BD E1576252678924

Lidl’s own brand pringles are all gluten-free naturally-and come in slightly cheaper (£1.99) than Schar’s Curvies (£2.50). Either way, they’re essential telly snacks.

Co-op Cranberry and Orange Tiffin Bites

I loved these last year and they’re back again!

Tesco Turkey and Stuffing Tortilla Chips

Tescoglutenfreetortillas

These tortilla chips don’t actually taste that much like Turkey but they’re yummy, shaped like a Christmas tree and gluten-free so, naturally, you have to buy them

Festive feasting: Deserts

Morrisons’ Yule Log

I’ve really struggled to find dairy-free deserts, so this festive Yule log (£5.50) looks like a great deal. You can read more about Morrison’s new products in this post.

Kirsty’s Apple Pie

I love Apple pie and this one from Kirsty’s is the perfect combination of chunky pastry and sweet apples. The fact it’s frozen and comes in portions of two means it saves waste if you’re the only one eating it.

Marks and Spencer’s Chocolate and Cherry Dessert

M&S also have released a vegan dessert that looking at the ingredients it will be gluten-free too. It’s not in stores yet though (you can find the info here) but I’ll update when it is.

Festive feasting: the main event

Marks and Spencer’s Stuffing/Pigs in Blankets

! Marks and Spencer’s, in particular, have a really great range of pigs and blankets and stuffing.

For vegans, Plant Kitchen is bringing out a festive roast which contains no gluten ingredients but it is not in stores yet (info on that here) As a side note, a few have asked me about low FODMAP gravy. I’m not on the low FODMAP diet myself but Coombe Farm does an organic low fodmap chicken and beef bone broth which could work as a gravy?

Festive Foods: Buffet Buys

M&S Chicken Lollipops

Co-op Coconut Chilli Prawns/ 16 Sticky Honey and Mustard Sausages

There’s a LOT of new gluten-free buffet food at the Co-op. Unfortunately, most contain dairy but there are a few options that are free from both!

Co-op Chorizo and Red Wine Tapas

Here’s another find from the co-op too!

That’s it for now but I’ll be updating this post over the next few weeks as I find more gluten and dairy-free finds! Let me know if you have any suggestions in the comments below.
