Today, I’m back with another gluten-free restaurant review. You might know that I live in Warwickshire and have written guides to gluten-free Stratford upon Avon and gluten-free Henley in Arden. Recently, we’ve been discovering Warwick town centre and have found quite a few great places for gluten and dairy-free eating! We were excited to be invited to review the new menu at Revive Warwick, which is right in the heart of the centre of Warwick and was bursting with gluten-free options.
AD: Review meal-we were gifted a review meal in exchange for this review
All About Revive Warwick
Revive Warwick is a super cool independent cafe and bar in the centre of Warwick (just a few minutes from the castle and St Nicholas park) with cocktails; space for remote working; spacious booths and a games room at the back of the cafe (with the option to pool, table tennis, table football and darts). On arrival, the place was bustling (it was a Saturday afternoon) but service was quick. It scored top marks in terms of being toddler friendly: our waitress bought off a colouring sheet, children’s menu and felt tips (he’s a bit of a crayon snob so these were well received!) over to our table and there was a great range of options for kids. The booths are really spacious so perfect if you have a ‘won’t-sit-still’ toddler!

Gluten-free options at Revive Warwick
So let’s talk about the gluten-free options at Revive Warwick. There were lots of different options: from plenty of sandwiches with gluten-free bread, two types of fries, burger and chips, chicken, steak and toasties. I opted for the gluten-free burger and was really impressed: the bun was substantial, didn’t crumble and actually matched the burger (if you’re gluten-free, you’ll know the struggle of a giant burger and a tiny gluten-free bun!). The burger itself was super meaty and the side fries were crisped to perfection!
For dessert, there was a gluten-free cake option (chocolate fudge cake) and also all the ice creams at Revive are gluten-free; including two dairy-free ice cream options two-raspberry and vegan mint choc chip. I opted for the mint choc chip ice cream and it was great-such a change from sorbet and packed with dairy-free, gluten-free chocolate chunks!

Vegan Options at Revive Warwick
As you know, I’m not vegan but I know lots of my audience are-I also avoid dairy so a lot of options that are dairy-free are also vegan. There are a lot of vegan options at Revive; from ice cream to dairy-free milk for coffee to a full vegan breakfast. Lots of the cakes were also vegan.
Our Verdict of Revive Warwick
We really liked Revive-there was lots of gluten-free options on the menu, the surroundings were cool and child-friendly and it really catered to all of our needs. We’ll definitely be back!
