A few weeks ago, I was struggling with fitting everything in: work was busy, my blog was demanding and I was also in the process of arranging the details of my book publication. I knew I had let things slip; so I decided I wanted to up my juicing efforts in a bid to keep my energy levels up. I got chatting with the folks at Core Body Cleanse and was offered the chance to review their service; which seemed like the perfect, happy coincidence!
However, along with being intrigued, I was also sceptical as, to be honest with you, I turn down 90% of the food and drinks ops I receive -I do not believe in promoting unhealthy weightloss or extreme detoxes. I know some people go on extended juice cleanses for gut issues or general health issues and do amazingly; but I personally never recommend more than a one day total juice cleanse if you have a health issue and personally think most of the time, juicing can be done in conjunction with a normal, healthy diet (you don’t want to see me skipping meals, believe me- I am in a strop if I don’t get my morning snack!) However, the team at core body cleanse is run by a chef and nutritionist and as a result, seemed to totally share my philosophy; advising that most of the time they suggest that juicing to be done alongside food- whether through a specific diet (they also offer a free 21 day meal plan to follow post-juicing; should you require it ) or just your general eating habits.

What is Core Juice Cleanse?
Core Juice cleanse is a juice company that provides completely organic and soil association approved juice cleanses. For those not in the know, this means that not only do they use organic fruit and veg, they also have to pass very stringent regulations about the soil they use and are very limited in any pesticides that can be used on the soil (even if it’s years before they grow the fruit and veg!) . The biggest thing for me is that it is run by a qualified Nutritionist- meaning that you can chat to them about the ingredients and even personalise to you (if you are not good with one ingredient- e.g. wheatgrass, they can replace that juice for another one) They include a range of juices, blended juices and delicious soups- meaning the focus is on really good quality, nutritious ingredients instead of just weight loss.

How did I find my experience?
From the moment my juice package arrived until I finished my last drop of juice, I absolutely loved the cleanse. I did not actually drink the full amount of recommended juices a day because I was eating full meals- which means I was able to stretch my juices out over a good 5-6 day period. This was great because they are cold-pressed they have a much longer shelf-life. So if you are looking for an introduction or on a budget, you could try the one day cleanse at £40 (for either 6 juices or 4 juices and 2 soups) and spread the 6 juices over a weekend or few days. However, if you know you’ll stick to it, it does work out cheaper per juice if you opt for a 3 day package like me (£90 for 18 juices or 12 juices/6 soups).
I also loved that the juices and soups were completely organic as it can be really difficult to source completely organic veg by me and that the thinking was done for me. My favourite combination was carrot and beetroot and the yummy thai squash soup; which I keep vowing to attempt to remake by myself. The company were also on hand and I asked a few questions about fibre content and ingredients- this is so beneficial to lots of us who are cautious about trying new things.
Would I recommend core cleanse?

Yes, 100%! Core body cleanse are slightly pricer than some juice cleanses I’ve seen (on Groupon etc) but the fact they are completely organic, soil association approved and run by a Nutritionist I could chat to makes them completely worthwhile. I love that their philosophy is all about getting goodness into you, and while they can of course, be used as a weigh-loss tool; they can also be used for those looking to improve their health and boost their energy. If you want to get into juicing, Core body cleanse juices are the perfect place to start!
Disclaimer: Core body cleanse gifted me a 3 day cleanse in return for my opinion. As you know, I would never recommend anything that I didn’t personally love or wasn’t completely sound nutitionally.

I’ve not tried these before but sounds pretty good!
I like the fact this isn’t a juice diet and that you were able to east along side drinking the juices. It’s really good to see that there are nutritionist available to talk to as well as I think I would be worried about the value and product otherwise.
These sound so good, I have never tried anything like this but would love too. Kaz 🙂
These look and sound very good. I do love trying a new juice to try out. xx
These sound great to have alongside food – I’m with you about not doing more than one day if just doing a juice cleanse and no food.
They sound a lot better than many other ‘juice cleanses’ I have heard of! I would love to try them, unfortunately they are a bit out of my price range!
I absolutely couldn’t do the juices alone, so it’s great that this is done alongside normal eating. The colours are so vivid, they look lovely! 🙂 x
Wait – this is the Core in Swindon?? My friend owns it! WOW! x
I’ve never tried a juice cleanse before, I just find them so expensive xo
By definition, juices do not contain fiber, yet fiber is a key component for binding toxins in the colon for elimination. Just curious…when you asked them about fiber in their products, what did they say?
