Happy Coeliac Awareness week everyone! I’ve been slow on new content due to the arrival of my baby boy (more on that in a future blog post I promise!) but today I thought I’d share my monthly gluten and dairy free shopping list-since its coeliac awareness week!
I’ll be honest, this blog post came at a perfect time as I’m living off snacks pretty much at the moment as a new mom! So I thought I’d share my fave free-from purchases that you need to snap up this month! Quick disclaimer, some items in this post were sent to me to try with no expectation of coverage.

1. Asda Free From Pasta Bake Sauce

I bought both of these from Asda but I haven’t tried the carbonara one yet. But the tomato pasta bake is amazing! It’s creamy (using coconut milk) and so easy to make! I popped it in the oven with some Heck chicken sausages for a super easy dinner-you don’t even need to boil the gluten-free pasta first so it takes mere minutes to put together and bung in the oven.
2. Morrison’s Vegan Margherita Pizza

I finally found a Morrison’s near me! I was desperate to try this and I’ll be honest, it’s pretty good! But I still prefer Kirsty’s pizza for a gluten and dairy free choice. It’s nice to have options though!
3. Morrison’s Free From Curly Fries

If you’ve not tried these, close this blog post and do so immediately. For some reason, I craved these during my last few weeks of pregnancy and devoured them! They are so good and taste just like the curly fries of my childhood ( yes I’m 34 next month, what of it?)
4. Mindful Chef Ready Meals

I’ve blogged before about how much I love Mindful Chef’s recipe boxes but now they do ready meals too! Hurrah! I’ve had these in the freezer for a few weeks and they’ve been perfect to have on hand post-baby. They’re ready meals with a difference: super healthy, naturally free from gluten and dairy and full of goodness. The creamy coconut fish pie is my favourite.
5. Cadbury’s Bournville Giant Buttons

I don’t usually like Bournville chocolate (I find it a bit bitter to be honest) but these are a whole different story for some reason! They are incredibly creamy and my favourite dairy free chocolate right now.
6. Nairns Pop Oats

Nairns are one of my favourite gluten-free brands and their whole range have been a hospital bag staple! I always have their gluten-free flatbread crisps to hand but they have a few new products! The pop oats are a lovely alternative to crisps and the oat bars are great for an energy boost without being packed with sugar!
7. Freaks of Nature Cherry Bakewell Pudding

Freaks of Nature have a brand new pudding out! And it’s a sticky, sweet, super comforting cherry bakewell hot pudding that is perfect for cold evenings.
8.Qwrkee Plant-Based Puffs

I am a massive crisp addict and could easily get through a bag each evening. I’m always looking for slightly healthier choices so these Qwrkee plant based ones are perfect (you can buy them in Wholefoods) ! They’re made with pea flour and even have added probiotics too! Qwrkee also do a pea based dairy free milk which is a great change from the usually nut based options!
9. Abakus Red Dates Chocolate Coated Red Dates

I’m usually the first to agree that fruit is not a free-from pudding but these chocolate coated red dates offer something completely different! They’re rich in iron (great for me as I’m currently low in it) and great for a snack that’s a little bit healthier than your usual handbag one.
10. Koko Dairy Free Super Drink

Last month I shared my love of Koko dairy free creamed cheese (spoiler alert: it’s good-buy it!) and today I wanted to mention another new product they’ve released-an enriched dairy-free coconut drink. Nutritional deficiencies are incredibly common when you are gluten and dairy free or have digestive conditions and whilst most dairy free milks are enriched with Calcium now, this one also contains a range of vitamins-including Iron, Zinc and B12. I couldn’t actually drink this whilst pregnant however as it contains added Vitamin A; which you shouldn’t supplement whilst pregnant.
11. Livia’s Dunx

I’m a big fan of Livia’s (previously called Olivia’s kitchen) and would live off her orange shortcake bites if I could afford to. Her latest product are ‘dunx’ a combo of a shortbread style biscuit and accompanying dip! I love it when new innovative products emerge in the free from market and this is different to anything else I’d seen! The choc hazelnut dip is my favourites of the range! The only thing I would say is the biscuit tastes a bit thick and stodgy (as to be expected for a gluten and dairy free product) but the dips well and truly make up for it!
