13 Gluten-Free, Vegan Products to buy this January

Glutenfreevegan 1

Today, I wanted to share another product round-up with you all. I love rounding up the latest gluten and dairy products; but since it’s Veganuary-I thought I’d make this a gluten-free and vegan roundup too! Here’s 13 GF, Vegan products I’d recommend buying this January…

1. Marks and Spencers’ Vegan Potato Salad

Potatosalad

I was SO excited to discover this last week-unfortunately; although it doesn’t contain any gluten ingredients-it does have a ‘not suitable for coeliacs warning on it.’ It does not mention if this is a factory warning and none of the ingredients that are bolded contain gluten-so the jury is out whether this is one of those unnecessary disclaimers or cross-contamination is possible. I thought I’d mention it so you could make your own minds up! I’ve had it several times and it really is delicious!

2. Marks and Spencers No Chick’n Nuggets

These are certified gluten-free thank goodness-and they’re vegan too! The filling tastes pretty similar to chicken (Don’t ask me how but even my husband couldn’t tell the difference) but you’ll need something to dip them with as they’re a little dry.

3. Hellman’s Vegan Mayo

Marksandspencer2

This mayo is my top vegan mayo recommendation! You’ll find it in the regular mayo section rather than the free-from aisle: and it is delicious!

4. M&S Sweet Potato Falafel

These falafels contain no gluten and have no factory warning (it just says not suitable for milk allergy sufferers). I actually found these slightly disappointing-but the cashew nut dip is nice!

5. Oumph

*BEST GF MEAT ALTERNATIVE EVER*🙌 💃I discovered @eat_oumph at the Allergy Show in July and have been hooked ever since! I’m not vegan but it’s nice to have meat-free days sometimes and so much plant-based stuff contains gluten. I always keep a few bags in the freezer for lazy meals and it’s so versatile! (This is not an ad by the way, I just think it’s fab!) I’m actually doing a blog post on my freezer staples today What’s the gluten-free must have that’s always stocked in your freezer? Would love recommendations to include! And have you tried oumph? If not, do give it a go! (I’ve only tried their pulled pork style but there’s 3 other flavours I think)

If you’re missing meat or just fancy a change, this is the best meat-alternative by a mile. I actually think the pulled pork style tastes EXACTLY like pulled pork!

6. Vegbread

Vegan bread is pretty difficult to come by-since most of it contains egg. This vegbread is made me with sweet potato so not only is it gluten-free and vegan, but it’s packed a nutrition punch too!

7. Morrison’s GF Vegan Pizza

View this post on Instagram

Just found a new gluten free AND vegan margherita pizza in @morrisons 🥳🥳🍕 Tag someone who needs to know about this!! Hopefully this will satisfy all us folks who were slightly disappointed that the M&S pizza I posted recently wasn’t dairy free 😓🍕 It was £3 btw! Who wants to see the ingredients? Let me know and I’ll post it on my story if anyone cares! Also, this contains gluten free oat fibre… would that put you off? . Hello second paragraph FODMAP people 👋🏻 I’ve got bad news and bad news, which do you want first? The bad news? Ok, well this contains garlic. The other bad news? It has garlic in it again. Yes, actually listed twice in the ingredients 😂 You can only laugh, can’t you? Otherwise I’d be in a hangry rage most of my life!! Mark seems to be tolerating garlic ‘ok’ at the mo, so I’ll see if he fancies this!!

Thank you so much to Becky from Gluten Free Cuppa Tea for spotting this one! It’s so tricky to find gluten-free pizzas that are also vegan- so this sounds amazing!

8. Plenish Oat Milk

Plenish

It’s not often you find a gluten-free oat milk-so if you want a creamier tasting plant-milk; this is for you! I absolutely love the Plenish range: unlike many vegan products they don’t contain any Carageenan ; it’s all completely natural and this oat milk is simply oats, water and sea salt!

9. Heck Vegan Sausage Range

Heck

As you know, I am a massive fan of Heck and their veggie range is fab too! Both the beetroot and sweet potato ones are my favourite-and of course, they’re gluten-free as well as being vegan.

10. Vegan Larder

I cam across this vegan subscription box when writing a piece for The Independent-and can wholeheartedly recommend them! You get a mix of vegan cooking essentials-like sauces, tapenades etc- and snacks through your door each month!

I discovered the Vegan Larder last month-when writing about vegan subscription boxes for The Independent

11. Genius Fibre Fest Wraps

P1042298

I will have a whole blog post up soon on these Genius Fibre Fest wraps-but thought I’d give them a mention here too! They’re a great alternative to regular wraps and are suitable for vegans and coeliacs!

12. Kirsty’s Pizza

I pick up one of these pizzas whenever I’m in Tesco-they’re lovely and the cheese melts perfectly!

13.TREK Protein Energy Bars

150610 BAN TREK ENERGY Mockup Single 1835x1000

These are so easy to grab on the go-and contain a huge amount of protein; great if you’re on a vegan diet. Much more filling than the usual granola bar!

I hope you enjoyed this round-up, I’ve popped some links below to a few gluten-free, vegan recipes to try this month too…
