I am always conscious that many of my recipes aren’t vegetarian-friendly. I’ve blogged before about my efforts to go vegan but didn’t find it sustainable with my illness and nutritional needs. However, it’s World Meat Free Week shortly, so thought I’d make a conscious effort to share more plant-based content. It can be so hard to find things that are gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan but these 10 side dishes can be simply used as an accompaniment to a regular, meat-based dish or be the main attraction!

1. Curry Roasted Cauliflower by Healthy Seasonal Recipes
I love anything curry-flavoured, so this one is right up my street! I’m not a huge cauliflower fan usually but the lemon and curry mix really brings out the flavour!
2. 4-Ingredient Broccoli Tater Tots She Like Food

Oh, my goodness, how amazing do these look! I know some of my readers struggle to incorporate veggies into their diet-so these broccoli tater tots are perfect: since their 1/2 potato, 1/2 broccoli. Perfect for snacking!
3. Airfryer Vegetable Fries by Recipe This.
I bought an airfryer a while ago and it’s the best purchase I’ve ever made (this is the one I use if you’re interested). I love this vegetable fries recipe and often make it with my gluten-free chicken kiev!
4. Broccoli Cauliflower Rice by Recipe This.
I LOVE rice, but I know I need to mix things up a little; so this broccoli cauliflower rice would be great served with my gluten-free Thai curry!
5.Wild Wild Rice by A Bite of Inspiration.

A meal in itself, this is a healthier version of egg-fried rice and uses wild rice as opposed to regular white rice!
6.Becky’s Best Bites – Vegan Avocado Potato Salad with Dill and Cilantro

Regular potato-salad is full of dairy usually; so this recipe is right up my street. Perfect for lunchboxes and contains omega-3 rich avocado too!
7. Loaded Vegan Mashed Potatoes by Peas and Peonies
Delicious, creamy vegan mash with a range of yummy gluten and meat-free toppings.
8. Vegetable Kabobs by Divas Run For Bling
Absolutely perfect for a summer BBQ!
9. Spinach Artichoke Twice Baked Potatoes by Paleo Running Mama
I loved loaded potatoes as a child; I’m yet to make a dairy-free version yet but this one uses nutritional yeast rather than fake cheese!
10. Air Fryer Thai Veggie Bites by Recipe Me This
Another airfryer recipe (honestly, they’re lifesaving for making crispy foods with very little oil). I’ve made this a few times and it’s a great picnic snack too! Just be sure to substitute for gluten-free flour.
