25 weird things that happen to your body after having a baby.

As

I remember when I was about 35 weeks pregnant I’d officially HAD ENOUGH. I had Sciatica. I couldn’t sleep. I had awful heartburn. My emotions were all over the place and I kept thinking, ‘I can’t wait to get this baby out so I can feel better again. Oh, how naive I was. Nobody talks about how your body KEEPS doing weird things long after a human has exited it.

14 weeks after having Jude, I still don’t feel anywhere close to getting my body (or mind) back to pre-baby and still experience all symptoms that I google ‘is xxx normal after having a baby?’ So I asked on Facebook what weird things happened to your body after having a baby and here’s what I discovered…

1.Night sweats (especially when your milk comes in)

2. Peeling dry skin.

3.Hair loss

4. Brain fog

5.Gum disease

6. Itchy stretchmarks

22. Difficulty urinating (for the first few days, especially after a section or catheter being used)

23. Thyroid problems

24. Anaemia

25. Lochia (bloody discharge for up to 6 weeks afterwards)

How many did you suffer with and please god tell me, when does it feel better? For those who are currently pregnant (you’ve got all this to come!), have a read of 8 things being pregnant and chronically ill taught me

It’s common for new mothers to experience various physical changes and sensations after giving birth. Some of these changes may seem strange or unexpected, but they are often a normal part of the postpartum recovery process.
