This week is Special Buy week at Aldi, which sees lots of gluten free bargains across the store! I went to my local to sniff out the bargains, find out which ones are also dairy free and pick up some goodies of my own. Here are my best finds
1.Prewetts Jammy Wheels
They had several varieties of Prewett biscuits, but the chocolate covered ones contain dairy. However, the jammy wheels don’t contain milk! I love these and £1.49 is a great price!
2. Sweet Potato Burgers
These weren’t in the special buys section so they may be available all year round. They’re vegan too and were £1.59 for a pack of two which is great price!
3. B Free Pitta Breads
These are my favourite things for lunches; they work great with hummus and taste surprisingly like pitta bread. £2.25 is a great price as they’re closer to £3 usually.
4. Nairs Snackers
These are lovely snacks and not seen this flavour before too!
5. Bombay Potato
I’m having a curry this evening so picked this up from the refrigeration section to go with it. It’s 99p and had no gluten or dairy in the ingredients.
6. Gluten Free Hobnobs
I actually blogged about how I wasn’t that impressed with these in my 7 gluten-free products that aren’t worth the money. However, lots of you disagreed so I thought I’d let you know they are on offer!
7. Vegetable and Chicken Fajita Mix
I found this in the freezer so it might be available all year round but I loved this idea-its simply frozen fajita mix (with chicken and veggies); simply cook from frozen and add a gluten-free tortila for such an easy dinner! At £1.99 it’s great value too.
8. Eat Real Quinoa Chips
These are priced at 99p so great value-I love the sour cream flavour! Really realistic for a vegan crisp.
9. Rice Noodles
59p is such a great price for rice noodles, and they have brown rice noodles that I’ve not seen before! Add to my gluten-free pad thai recipe for such an easy dinner!
10. The Foodie Market Quinoa Bars
I didn’t buy these because they’re quite high in seeds but they looked like a cheaper version of KIND Bars.
11. Tilda Brazilian Samba
This spicy rice is a great side dish for the fajita kits an only 85p!
12. Old El Paso Fajita Kit
I love these kits and as I’m a total spice wuss, this BBQ version is perfect for me! It’s great value at just £2.99 a kit as you get 8 of the large size tortillas; whilst a pack of six of these alone-without the salsa and the seasoning-cost the same price at Tesco!
