As the nights get colder, I seem to get even lazier. Being gluten and dairy-free makes it more difficult to just nip to the shops for a last-minute dinner so my freezer is my best friend at the moment (especially things I can cook from frozen as I ALWAYS seem to forget to defrost!). Today, I thought I’d share the ten gluten and dairy-free foods that are always in my freezer at the moment. Keep reading to the end of my post to win a free-from freezer bundle all of your own!
1.Kirsty’s Gluten and Dairy Free Pizza
View this post on Instagram
There is only one thing that can save today…and that’s @kirstys_official NEW gluten AND dairy-free pizza. I am here for this! You might have seen on my stories (and twitter) that my grandparents who have complex care needs are trying to be split up by our council. I’ve spent the whole day dealing with peoples responses since sharing on twitter and it just made me realise how AMAZING social media can be at times. I can share a picture of my dinner alongside trying to action change for the people I love! So here’s to social media, kindness and of course pizza 🍕 🍕
This has to be the best gluten-free, dairy-free pizza I have tasted in ages! The base is lovely and crisp and the cheese is nice and creamy! It’s perfect for lazy nights in and you can cook it straight from frozen! It’s currently available for sale at Tesco alongside Kirsty’s range of new ready meals.
2. Tesco’s Gluten and Dairy Free Chicken Kiev

Today’s Aldi and Tesco gluten and dairy free snack haul! 🙌We ended up nipping into both supermarkets-and whilst I didn’t need much, I couldn’t resist stocking up on a few snacky bits. Most excitingly, I finally found the new Tesco chicken Kiev’s!🙌🙌🙌 I’m so excited-they’re gluten AND dairy free! I somehow ended up buying THREE different packets of biscuits (but I guess that’s what weekends are for!). As for Aldi, I wasn’t as impressed as I thought I’d be-I’m surprised some manage their full gluten-free shop their each week,m. But I’m excited to try their version of ’nakd bars’ and I’d seen the face mask all over social media (apparently it’s a dupe of a really expensive brand) that I couldn’t resist giving it a go! Finally thanks to @bepps_snacks who sent me these snacks in the post this morning-I’ve already eaten the cheesy flavour already! It’s delicious! Where do you tend to do your weekly shop? We went through a stage of using Ocado but it was so expensive! (I loved all the variety though!). I know people swear by Aldi but it was so disorganised and I couldn’t find a ton of gf stuff (there was a teeny tiny aisle). We’ve been loving Sainsbury’s at moment but just couldn’t resist Tesco for their Kiev’s! I do hope they taste as good as they look!
I’ve been on the hunt for this for ages and finally found it last weekend in a small Tesco near me. Although I’d have liked it a little more garlicky, it was still a lovely alternative to regular kievs and another great cook from frozen option on cold nights!
3. Batch Organics Smoothie Mixes
I try to make a juice or smoothie most mornings-but sometimes I just have NO energy to do so. I save Batch Organics for those kinds of days. Batch Organics are make-from-frozen smoothie cups and breakfast bowls and they’re all completely vegan and gluten-free. They are a bit pricey (usually around £3 a cup) but there are often discount codes floating around on Facebook.

*BEST GF MEAT ALTERNATIVE EVER*🙌 💃I discovered @eat_oumph at the Allergy Show in July and have been hooked ever since! I’m not vegan but it’s nice to have meat-free days sometimes and so much plant-based stuff contains gluten. I always keep a few bags in the freezer for lazy meals and it’s so versatile! (This is not an ad by the way, I just think it’s fab!) I’m actually doing a blog post on my freezer staples today What’s the gluten-free must have that’s always stocked in your freezer? Would love recommendations to include! And have you tried oumph? If not, do give it a go! (I’ve only tried their pulled pork style but there’s 3 other flavours I think)
I’ve mentioned Oumph a few times on my instagram. I discovered them at the allergy show and couldn’t believe how tasty they were as a meat-free option (made with soya bean). I’ve only tried the pulled pork style flavour as it’s so delicious, I can’t stop buying it!
5. Strong Roots Beetroot Wedges
I’m not a massive beetroot fan usually-but these are lovely; and a fantastic way of getting more veg into your diet. Beetroot is great for low iron levels and the crispy rice flour coating means they taste lovely and crunch-unlike how mushy cooked beetroot can go. I’m also a massive fan of their sweet potato wedges.
6. Asda Free From Lemon Pepper Cod Dippers
Crunchy and zesty-perfect for dipping! They’re free from dairy too and can be cooked from frozen.
7. Heck Halloweener Sausages
Heck has released a Halloween-themed gluten and dairy free sausage:with pork, pumpkin and black treacle! I love Heck and the usual flavours are always in my freezer so I’m so excited to give these a try!
8.Yorica Ice Cream
I already blogged a few weeks ago about my trip to Yorica in London. If you’ve not discovered them yet, they offer amazing ice cream free of the 14 allergens. Excitingly, they now have a tub version available to buy from Ocado! It comes in Salted Caramel and Double Chocolate Cookie flavour.
9. Heck Sweet Fusion Veggie Bangers
If you’re looking for an option for meat-free days, Heck has also realised a range of vegan sausages too. I don’t usually love veggie type sausages but these are a mix of sweet potato, thai pesto and sticky rice (three of my favourite things!) For some reason, they’re not listed as dairy free but there’s no dairy listed on the ingredients.
10. Asda Garlic Baguette
And finally-who doesn’t love a good garlic baguette? Gluten Free, Dairy Free AND Egg Free. I’ve no idea how they do it but at only £1.50 and cooking from frozen in fifteen minutes- I’m on board!
