10 gluten and dairy free foods that are ALWAYS in my freezer

GFGD

As the nights get colder, I seem to get even lazier. Being gluten and dairy-free makes it more difficult to just nip to the shops for a last-minute dinner so my freezer is my best friend at the moment (especially things I can cook from frozen as I ALWAYS seem to forget to defrost!). Today, I thought I’d share the ten gluten and dairy-free foods that are always in my freezer at the moment. Keep reading to the end of my post to win a free-from freezer bundle all of your own!

1.Kirsty’s Gluten and Dairy Free Pizza

This has to be the best gluten-free, dairy-free pizza I have tasted in ages! The base is lovely and crisp and the cheese is nice and creamy! It’s perfect for lazy nights in and you can cook it straight from frozen! It’s currently available for sale at Tesco alongside Kirsty’s range of new ready meals.

2. Tesco’s Gluten and Dairy Free Chicken Kiev

I’ve been on the hunt for this for ages and finally found it last weekend in a small Tesco near me. Although I’d have liked it a little more garlicky, it was still a lovely alternative to regular kievs and another great cook from frozen option on cold nights!

3. Batch Organics Smoothie Mixes

I try to make a juice or smoothie most mornings-but sometimes I just have NO energy to do so. I save Batch Organics for those kinds of days. Batch Organics are make-from-frozen smoothie cups and breakfast bowls and they’re all completely vegan and gluten-free. They are a bit pricey (usually around £3 a cup) but there are often discount codes floating around on Facebook.

4.  Oumph

I’ve mentioned Oumph a few times on my instagram. I discovered them at the allergy show and couldn’t believe how tasty they were as a meat-free option (made with soya bean). I’ve only tried the pulled pork style flavour as it’s so delicious, I can’t stop buying it!

5. Strong Roots Beetroot Wedges

I’m not a massive beetroot fan usually-but these are lovely; and a fantastic way of getting more veg into your diet. Beetroot is great for low iron levels and the crispy rice flour coating means they taste lovely and crunch-unlike how mushy cooked beetroot can go. I’m also a massive fan of their sweet potato wedges.

6. Asda Free From Lemon Pepper Cod Dippers

Crunchy and zesty-perfect for dipping! They’re free from dairy too and can be cooked from frozen.

7. Heck Halloweener Sausages

Heck has released a Halloween-themed gluten and dairy free sausage:with pork, pumpkin and black treacle! I love Heck and the usual flavours are always in my freezer so I’m so excited to give these a try!

8.Yorica Ice Cream

I already blogged a few weeks ago about my trip to Yorica in London. If you’ve not discovered them yet, they offer amazing ice cream free of the 14 allergens. Excitingly, they now have a tub version available to buy from Ocado! It comes in Salted Caramel and Double Chocolate Cookie flavour.

9. Heck Sweet Fusion Veggie Bangers

If you’re looking for an option for meat-free days, Heck has also realised a range of vegan sausages too. I don’t usually love veggie type sausages but these are a mix of sweet potato, thai pesto and sticky rice (three of my favourite things!) For some reason, they’re not listed as dairy free but there’s no dairy listed on the ingredients.

10. Asda Garlic Baguette

And finally-who doesn’t love a good garlic baguette? Gluten Free, Dairy Free AND Egg Free. I’ve no idea how they do it but at only £1.50 and cooking from frozen in fifteen minutes- I’m on board!

  5. Hi! First of all, this blog was an amazing find for me. We’re a vegan family and there are some things on this list already that I’m unaware of, so thank you for that. I will follow you on Instagram for tips! My staple vegan products, which I think would be gluten free, but to be honest we don’t avoid gluten, so I couldn’t say for sure, but Linda McCartney Mushroom and spinach burgers are just incredible! I love mushrooms anyway, but these are just insanely good. Sorry for waffling on, thanks for the great and interesting giveaway!

  6. I have many, it’s so hard to pick just one, but if I had I guess it would be free from garlic bread. It’s nice that so many shops are increasing their free from range, hopefully even more will be added in the future. Thanks for this lovely giveaway.

  7. These suggestipns look great! I definitely want to give Oumph! a try. My freezer staples are the Good Life Falafels (vegan & GF) and Morrisons mini hash browns (vegan & GF) sooooooooo good!

  19. My Free From frozen food essential, is not particularly healthy, but I work regular unusual hours, often getting home at 11.30 at night, so need something in the freezer that I can shove in the oven, whilst I have a quick shower and change into my PJ’s, so for me it has to be Goodfella’s Gluten Free Margherita Pizza!
