Welcome back to the first ‘what’s new’ blog post of the year! I love writing these new free from product round-ups and discovering new things to share with you all. As you’d probably expect, there are lots of healthy eating and vegan options in the mix. These aren’t for everyone (and if you follow me on Instagram and Facebook, you’ll know I’m pretty frustrated at how all the new vegan launches are shoving us gluten-free folk to the side!). But anyway, I digress. On with the roundup…

Disclaimer: Some of the items in this roundup were sent to me to try with no obligation to review. These have been marked with a *
1.FREAKS of Nature Chocolate Mouse*

You can’t go wrong with Freaks of Nature and their incredible gluten-free, vegan puds. This mousse-which has just been launched into the Co-op-is no exception. Some dairy-free mousses taste synthetic but this one is light, airy and very chocolatey!
2. Nando’s Vegan Perinaise*

Nando’s now offer this egg and gluten-free vegan alternative to the regular Peri-Peri mayo in restaurants; as well as it being in Tesco. I’ll be honest, this isn’t my favourite mayo because I found it too spicy! And yes I know it says mild but I’m a wimp!
3. Co-op Katsu Curry and Chilli Nachos

Co-op has a new plant-based eating range called ‘GRO’ (No, I don’t know what it stands for either, perhaps suggesting that going vegan makes you taller?). Anyway, despite the name, I’m very impressed with these! My favourite is the katsu ready meal which has pea protein goujons in a gluten-free breadcrumb. It’s really tasty and simple (I hate it when ready meals have all sorts of random ingredients in there. I’m looking at you sweetcorn…). They also have a loaded chill nacho bowl that is also suitable for gluten free which I have not tried (on account of me being a spice wimp).
4.PLANTSHAKE by FOGA*

I love a good smoothie and these PLANTSHAKES are really nifty! The fruit and veg is freeze-dried and then condensed into powder form to make a really nutrient-dense powder. You simply add water or plant-based milk and shake to create a smoothie. I’ve always been looking for a ‘meal replacement’ type thing when I went to have gut rest days so have been really impressed by the taste and ingredient listing of these. They’re so handy to take travelling or to work as you don’t even need a blender! You can find out more about them here.
5. Co-Op Creamy Coconut Cauliflower Curry and 6. Porcini Ravioli

Another co-op spot! (I promise this isn’t an ad). The fresh pasta is gluten-free and vegan, which is a very rare combination as gluten-free fresh pasta is often stuffed with cheese. It uses a mushroom substitute inside (I’ve not tried this as I hate mushrooms!). The cauliflower curry isn’t marked gluten-free but has no gluten ingredients listed on the ingredients label.
7. BOOSH BONE BROTH*

BOOSH is a new range of bone broth that’s come to Ocado and I’ve really been enjoying it! The glass jars are a nicer change and can be reused; it’s all organic, full of gut-friendly collagen and they work really well as slow cooker stock too.
8.Z!NGER shots*

As you know, I love juicing so these little shots are great for days when I’m not able to. You can buy these in all major supermarkets and the organic ginger ones are particularly great for your digestion!and 10.
9. Buttermilk Salted Caramel Cups and Buttermilk Choc Truffle

There are some amazing new launches from Buttermilk-available in Sainsbury’s. A few of you on my Facebook page asked me why on earth a dairy-free brand was called Buttermilk! Well, Buttermilk isn’t originally a dairy-free brand but they’ve come up with some really great dairy-free products over the last year or so (Their easter egg last year was amazing!). Their salted caramel cups are the closest thing I’ve found to rolos and they’re also releasing a box of free from Valentine’s truffles in time for Valentine’s day.
10. The Great British Porridge Co*
I watched these guys on Dragon’s Den so I was really excited to try these. It’s hard to find gluten and dairy-free porridge that isn’t bland. This one is really easy to make as you only need to add water (perfect for taking on holiday for example) yet despite this, it’s actually really creamy (it uses coconut cream). The strawberry and peanut is my favourite flavour; it tastes really indulgent!
11. Love RAW Salted Caramel Cups*

These chocolate cups are a lovely indulgent treat. They taste incredible and really creamy, yet only have a handful of ingredients (Which are things like organic fairtrade dark chocolate, creamed coconut and organic Agave). They’re much healthier than a usual chocolate bar and I’ve found these really satisfying as a desert.
12. Plantasy Foods Mac and Cheese

I discovered these on Instagram-they sell this mac and cheese mix as well as a pretty good dairy-free Pamasean substitute too. The best thing is you can get them on amazon (affiliate link) and it’s just a case of adding water, so they’re really convenient and perfect for things like travel. I don’t think this ones as ‘cheesy’ as Amy’s Kitchen but I can never find that gluten and dairy-free variety any more anyway!
13. Kettle Chips Vegan Sheeze Crisps

I’ve not been able to find these yet but I saw them on Instagram and apparently they’re available in Morrison’s. They sound fab!
14. Joe and Seph Vegan Popcorn*

Joe and Seph are already gluten-free but they’ve launched three new vegan flavours. This toffee apple flavour is my favourite but they also do an addictive salted caramel and a cocoa variety too!
