CRAVE LAUNCHES TWO NEW FLAVOURS OF FREE FROM CRISPS

Crave has just launched two new inventive flavours of their crisp snacks, which are vegan and free from as standard, so they are suitable for everyone and are big on taste too! The two new flavours include ‘Monster Feet’, (an addictive, tangy free-from alternative to monster munch( and smoky bacon streakers (which manage to taste exactly like bacon despite being vegan!)
These snacks are now available to buy from The VeganKind Supermarket for £1.73 a pack.
LINDT’S VEGAN BARS

Luxury chocolate brand Lindt has launched two vegan bars: both using gluten-free oats. Lindt Vegan Smooth and Lindt Vegan Hazelnut are amazingly smooth, rich, and creamy despite not containing dairy at all. One of the smoothest vegan bars I’ve tried. Available from Sainsbury’s and other popular grocery retailers, Amazon, Lindt Chocolate Shops at £3 a bar.
PHILADELPHIA LAUNCHES VEGAN CHEESE
Philadelphia has launched its first vegan soft cheese alternative!
Made from gluten-free oats and almonds, the recipe took two years to perfect with the recipe put through rigorous testing to ensure it delivered the familiar taste and texture as the rest of the Philadelphia range.
The plant-based soft cheese is available to buy now exclusively at 699 Tesco stores and online priced, priced at £2.50 for a 150g tub.
THE WHITE RABBIT CALZONE

It’s been years since I’ve had calzone so I was excited to hear that gluten-free, vegan pizza brand White Rabbit had launched their first-ever calzone! Filled with a generous helping of creamy mozzarisella, Sicilian chopped tomatoes, basil pesto, and chicken-free soy strips, this one is definitely a game-changer. Now available at Sainsbury’s. (£4).
PiQi LAUNCHES WATER KEFIR

Founder Askana launched PiQi a few months ago to help people look after their gut-health naturally and on a plant-based diet. PiQi was recently featured in the Speciality Food Magazine as part of the top health trends to know for 2022.
The beverage is dairy-free, gluten-free, and caffeine-free and is packed with billions of gut-friendly probiotic cultures to help support the immune system and overall wellbeing. Each bottle contains up to 30 billion live probiotic cultures.
NEW NITRO-CHARGED SLIM CANS MOCKTAILS

The award-winning ready-to-drink alcohol-free cocktails is excited to announce the launch of its brand new
nitro-charged slim cans – available to buy through the Mocktails online shop.
The cans are non-carbonated (since lots of us find carbonated drinks can cause bloating) but contain a clever widget that adds a visual and aromatic experience when popping open the can – as if you’ve shaken your cocktail at home!
Each of the four Mocktails flavours are 100% natural, sustainable, and ethically sourced. They’re also vegan, gluten-free, low in sugar and calories, and, of course, the canned packaging is 100% recyclable too:
GOOD IT’S GLUTEN FREE LAUNCHES GLUTEN FREE MEAL KITS

Gluten-free recipe box brand Good It’s Gluten-Free has launched a new range of meal kits that are super easy to make (just add your choice of meat or veg) in a handful of steps. The new range includes…
– Southern Fry’d with gravy
– Japanese Style Panko Crumb & Katsu Sauce
– Chinese Style Crispy Salt & Pepper
– Korean Chilli Sauce with a seasoned crumb
– Tandoori Tikka Masala with Crispy Onions
They’re all gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan (if made with meal alternatives). My favourite is the Southern Fry’d chicken; it works amazing in the air-fryer.
MOONJI’S NEW AYURVEDIC VEGAN ICE CREAM

nova.com
The UK’s only plant-based, Ayurvedic ice cream is here; and it’s also dairy-free, refined, sugar-free, clean label, sustainable & plastic-free! Ayurveda is a popular holistic health movement and these ice creams are packed full of good stuff-such as turmeric (brilliant for anti-inflammation) and chia spices. It’s not as sweet as you’re usual dairy-free ice cream but, thanks to the coconut cream used, it’s still smooth and creamy. It is also free from carrageenan, which is a common ingredient in vegan ice creams but can cause gut issues in some people.

READING LIST

There are two new books I’m reading this month.
The first is to Calm Your Gut: A Mindful and Compassionate Guide to Healing IBD and IBS
This is a really balanced guide to tackling gut health (admittedly skewed in the favour of natural remedies but medication is frequently mentioned). I was a little skeptical at the claim of ‘healing’ on the front cover (since we know that it is not that simple with IBD) but this book itself isn’t dismissive of modern medicine-with a great mix of practical advice, breathing exercises, lifestyles and recipes that can all help living with a gut issue easier to tackle.
As someone who needs to get a lot better at not wasting food, I’m also reading The Zero-Waste Kitchen recipe book; which is full of practical tips for food storage, maximising your leftovers and recipes to make the most of every ingredient in your kitchen!
