Travel: Qbic Hotel, London

ABIC7

I recently headed to London to check out all the wonderful gluten and dairy free restaurants available I was searching for the perfect hotel: somewhere with a great location, quirky decor, a place to blog on the go and plenty of healthy food choices. These things are so important to me since I have dietary restrictions and also can’t walk miles and miles yet. Luckily, we selected the Qbic hotel and this ticked all the boxes (and then some!) First up let’s talk location. …

The Qbic hotel is about 2 minutes walk- through a leafy park and a bustling high street- to the nearest tube (Aldgate East)

I’ve never been so close to a tube before (it was the literally the other side of the park; which was the lovely view from our window). This perfect as we were nipping all over to check out free-from venues. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to explore Shoreditch and Brick Lane: both are near by and I think I would have felt right at home there; sipping on an a herbal tea and blogging (I imagine everyone in Shoreditch is a blogger)

Every part of the hotel’s decor is quirky; designed to maximise the space and make you smile. I absolutely loved our quirky headboard.

And this unusual light feature..

How cute is this little ‘do not disturb’ fella?

Other things I loved? The all-natural shower gel and shampoo (zesty lemon, which was perfect after a long day); the super-relaxing mood lighting options and the little desk tucked in the corner-perfect for answering emails. Not only that, the bed was one of the comfiest we’d ever tried.  Did I mentioned that there is an unlimited supply of TeaPigs Chamomile on each floor! It’s like this place was made for health bloggers.

We loved the hotel so much that we spent several lovely hours chilling in it’s restaurant. Even the lift is an opportunity to put a smile on your face.

Need some gratitude inspiration? Don’t worry…this lift has got your back!

The super welcoming restaurant.

The menu was crammed with healthy choices. I had an almond hot-chocolate with sweet potato fries. The waitresses were super knowledgeable. This chia porridge with coconut milk was the perfect free-from breakfast!

Overall, we absolutely loved our stay at Qbic hotel. It was the perfect base to which to explore London and it’s attention to deal meant we didn’t stop smiling the whole time! I f you are looking for a really affordable place with a difference for your next trip to London, then check this guys out!

*QBic hotel provided a complimentary stay in return for an honest review. All feedback is completely my own and I only blog about thinks I really do love.

  1. This hotel looks lovely and Aldgate East isn’t too far from Central London when you think about it. I live about 20 mins from Euston so I’ve never really had a need to stay in London but maybe one day i’ll opt for a boutique spa hotel! x

  2. I wish I could be given a stay in a hotel too that would make things so much easier for me as I always go to London especially central and Shoreditch so Qbic sounds perfect to me!

  3. This place sounds great! I’m always looking for affordable places to stay in London because I love visiting the big city but it always seems too expensive! This place has definitely got a lot of character to it, would definitely keep a smile on your face!

  4. What a lovely place to stay, I love the decor – that light fitting is definitely different and bright! It’s so nice to stay somewhere with some charm and this place looks like it has it in spades. I’ll certainly check it out next time I visit London. x
