Self-Care Gift Guide for Mums-to-Be

Happy December! I thought I’d kick things off with a Christmas gift guide! I’ve done a few of these before around healthy living-but I’ll be doing two more specific ones this year. First up, in light of me blogging a little more about pregnancy, I thought it would be nice to do a specific gift guide for moms to be! So whether you’re a mom-to-be yourself or on the hunt for a gift for one, here are my recommendations!

Pregnancy Gift Set: £18, Hottea Mama

I was kindly sent some of these pregnancy teas by Hottea Mama and I literally can’t live without them! My two favourites are the Morning Tea (which has lemongrass and ginger has been such a help for my morning sickness) and Night Owl (pictured) which is a super relaxing, sleep tea. They do a few different gift sets for the stage of pregnancy you are in (such as their ‘Imminent Mama’ or ‘Pregnancy Gift Set’) or for new moms too! I love these and I’d love to receive more of them in a set!

HYP Pregnancy Candles Calm: £25: Mama Et Moi

Any excuse for a candle in my house-and these pregnancy ones are such a lovely gift for stressed out mamas-to-be!

The calm candle uses lavender, mandarin and frankincense-so it has a winter feel too. I haven’t lit this yet and the scent from it has already filled the house!

For the mum-to-be with a sense of humour, these milestone cards (of which there are 20) are a much-needed bit of reality!

I don’t think ‘Shit just got real’ could be a more accurate portrayal of pregnancy if I’m honest!

Preggo at Christmas Box: £25.00, Mrs Rawlinson

As you know I’m a huge subscription/gift box fan, so was really excited to receive this ‘preggo at Christmas’ box from Mrs Rawlinson. The whole site is an absolutely gorgeous mix of beautiful, Instagram-worthy bits for both moms to be and new moms. Their new mom box is equally as beautiful and would make such a lovely Christmas gift.

My box included a gorgeous gold-foiled notebook, a fantastic festive tea (one of the nicest I’ve tried actually-I need to find out where it’s stocked to repurchase!), a hair elixir, chocolate and a ‘you’ve got this pin’ (which I literally haven’t taken off-hence why it’s not in the picture!).

Botonique: £15.00

I was never a big drinker but I am definitely missing a glass of fizz-especially at this time of year! There are a few fizzy drinks at the supermarket of course-but these alcohol-free drinks are specially designed for wine lovers and look fancy enough to save until Christmas day! Not only that, but they are actually pretty healthy too-with added B vitamins and a mix of botanicals!

Bola Pregnancy Necklace Christmas Edition

I know early in my pregnancy, I really struggled to get my head around things and battled with anxiety. I love the concept of this necklace and really wish I’d received it in my first months!

It’s worn low over the baby bump-releasing a chime to help you feel closer to the baby and also soothe you when you are worrying. It’s a lovely, mindful gift (that is also safe for when the baby arrives as it also works as a teether.

Natural Skincare Stocking Fillers

A few times I’ve blogged and shared about my attempts to stick to natural skincare-so I thought I’d share a few lovely natural beauty stocking fillers that will ensure all mums-to-be have a little bit of pampering time!

1.Bloom and Blossom Anti-Stretch Mark Cream: Bloom and Blossom do a whole range of pregnancy and baby skincare which is worth checking out!

2.Indigo Herbs Pregnancy Pulse Point Roller: I love health brand Indigo Herbs and this pulse point roller is a gorgeous, stocking filler or secret santa gift for under a fiver. It uses specially selected oils, safe for 2nd and 3rd trimesters, to help bring a little zen to pregnant ladies who are suffering from stress.

3. Pure Potions Rescue Oil: Pure Potions was the first natural beauty brand I tried years ago. They’re specifically designed for those with eczema or psoriasis but have a new baby range and plenty of products suitable for pregnancy. This scar oil is ideal for changing bodies, bumps and dehydrated skin.

4. Olique 3 in 1 mask: I’ve found that my skin has completely changed during pregnancy-it’s much reactive, red, dry and spotty (I’m still chasing that elusive ‘glow’). I was kindly sent this mask by Odylique-a completely organic skincare brand based in Suffolk. What I love about it even more is that it can be customised depending on your skin type (you can mix water, yoghurt or tonic with the mask mix) and as it changes throughout your trimesters.

I hope you enjoyed this gift guide-and look out for my foodie gift guide towards the end of the week!

  1. congratulations on your pregnancy! I’ve just had a little one and would’ve loved any of these treats whilst pregnant, particularly the teas as I went off normal breakfast tea and missed having a hot drink.
