Reviewed: The Honest Smoothie Company (+WIN a week’s supply too!)

You know how much I love smoothies. I recently blogged 5 easy to digest dairy free smoothie recipes but sometimes I just don’t have the time to buy at the veg, seeds, and powders to make a smoothie.

Since having Jude, I’m really struggling to stick to healthy habits.

Disclaimer-AD-I was gifted some smoothies in exchange for this review

Enter The Honest Smoothie Company: a smoothie subscription that delivers everything you need to start with smoothies to your door; with all Soil Association accreditated organic veg and recycled pouches (That can be sent back to THSC to be recycled properly if you don’t want to do it yourself).

They kindly gifted me a few to try and, if you fancy trying them yourself, scroll down to the bottom to be in with a chance of winning!

The Honest Smoothie Company: Ordering

You can select from a range of different flavours (from more veg based options like The Heart Healthy One, to something sweeter like The Mint Choc Chip One. What’s great is that if you’re fussy like me, each individual ingredient is listed so there are no surprises.

It’s all dairy-free and, other than one containing oats, gluten-free too. There are quite a few nut based smoothies, however.

All the ingredients are organic, so not only are you making sure you get plenty of fruit and veg, but you’re also making sure it’s organic too. What’s more, it is great if you’re trying to cut down on waste: it all comes in exact portions.

They come frozen so they’re perfect to just keep in the freezer and the nuts/seeds section is in a separate small bag from the fruit and veg.

I love that because I struggle with seeds and therefore I can add the exact quantities I’d like. Whilst this is obviously extra packaging, as I mentioned before it can be sent back to be recycled properly and is made from recycled material.

The portions are really plentiful: the smoothies came with a glass jar (and wooden straw) and each mix covered at least a glass (and I usually had leftover).

Because of this, I started to get into a habit where I would use 3/4 of the mix for a glass of smoothie and then keep the leftover fruit for Jude to pick at.

Overall, if like me, you’re looking to eat healthier but struggling with time and prep, I’d 100% recommend The Honest Smoothie company.

Obviously, it would be cheaper to buy the fruit and veg separately but not only are you paying for the convenience but also the hassle of not buying (and storing) things like chia seeds, nuts and spirulina and just having them in the right quantities!
