Happy Sunday! It is extra happy for me because it’s half term! Lots of time to chill and catch up on my blog, my nutrition course and with friends! I was posting Friday Favourites for a while until I got a little bored with it- however I decided to do this monthly instead and hence today’s post: February Favourites. So here’s what I’m loving this month….
1. Walking My Dogs

My dogs have been loving the extended walks I’ve been taking them on. There’s a reasons for this; I was sent a device called PitPat*- an activity monitor for dogs! This is a simple device that they wear attached to their collars and then once they’ve finished their daily walk- it syncs with your IPhone and give you an update on whether they’ve met daily activity goals! It’s a great way to encourage you to walk a little extra each day! I’ve also been downloading the TED Talks podcasts and listening to these as I go on my walk! They’re the perfect length (15-20 minutes) and I feel like I’ve learnt something and exercised!

23 hours of resting… It really is a dog’s life!
2. TeaPigs Peppermint Tea is the second thing I’m loving. If you are used to regular Peppermint teabags, I’d definitely recommend giving this a go! It is pricey but you can really taste the difference with the pyramid bag (and to me it’s much more effective at soothing your tummy if you are bloated!)
3. Genius Gluten Free Cookbook*

How amazing does this Pad Thai look?
The lovely folks at Genius have published a new cookbook, jammed full of recipes! This is one of the best I’ve read since it doesn’t focus just on baking (which so many do!). Lots of practical gluten-free recipes (with plenty dairy free ones too!) It’s ingredient listings are easy to follow (no obscure random ingredients) and there is also a practical guide to be gluten free, which is great for newbies.
5. Getting Supplement Savvy

I am trying to stick to a supplement regime and will be trying out several bits from Holland and Barrett. I only take supplements if I think there’s a real need but turmeric is my go-to supplement as it is great for inflammation (you can read more about my guide to turmeric here). I have also just started this Magnesium spray* in a bid to calm myself when I get anxious. It’s too early to say yet but hopefully it helps. Has anyone else had a good experience with Magnesium? I’d love to hear about what supplements you take?
6. Poundland Cookware (Yes you read it correctly)

How cute is this new cookwear? And it’s all from Poundland. I’d been looking for mini-cookware dishes for ages since I do a lot of baking/cooking for one (not Bridget-Jones style; just because my husband is a big fan of all things gluten and dairy). I picked up the pastel pink ceramic dish and white rectangle tray to use when creating more recipes on my blog. Then the mini-sieve which is perfect for draining cold-press juice (since mine leaves tiny bits of fibre behind) or making nut milk.
7. Elizabeth Arden Miracle Oil*
I don’t blog about beauty much (since I’m really not an expert) but I am loving oils since they make me feel like I’m a spa! This miracle oil* is an all over oil and can be used on everything from your face to your hair. I love that it’s multiple purpose and it is such a nice treat to use at the end of a stressful day.
Finally, here’s a few bloggers I’ve been loving this month:
1.Skincartree for honest blog guides on everything to how much money she earns to how she gains traffic. I love how open she is about blogging and would definitely recommend giving it a read.
2.Guts and Glory who also posts about IBD and is currently blogging about the elimination diet. A great resource if you are thinking of trying one!
3. Nourishing Amelia is just a beautifully blog; full of lovely recipes pics and wellness advice.
4. Purely Amy for health and fitness. Lots of great recipes (gluten free too!) and fitness tips!
Also to let you know if you hop over to my twitter I’m giving away an amazing Stick to Stigu journal that’s perfect for planning your daily meals, keeping track of gratitude manifestos or just organising your day! Just follow me and RT my pinned tweet to enter!
