AD: Sponsored content: This post is a recipe created in collaboration with Moy Park chicken burgers-which can be found at Ocado. I used them to create this delicious gluten and dairy-free chicken+avo cheese burger recipe.
Today I’m back with another lunch or dinner idea: my gluten and dairy-free chicken and avocado dairy-free cheeseburgers; perfect for sunny days.
This one is a quick prep meal so whilst I’ll give options to make ingredients from scratch but I myself used this with store-bought items for this one.
I used M&S gluten-free buns for the bread, Violife dairy-free cheese instead of the regular kind, and Moy Park Chicken burgers from Ocado. Perfect for making an impromptu meal that is healthier but just as tasty as a restaurant dish with the cheese creating an indulgent oozy burger.
It’s super quick to make and then simply serve with your choice of fries, sides such as potato wedges, fries, my three-ingredient hash browns, my gluten-free potato salad, or my gluten-free veggie dippers.

What if I want to make this totally from scratch?
If you prefer, you can use your own gluten-free chicken burger recipe such as this one but I personally prefer to just buy them as it’s so much easier and very easy to find them without gluten and dairy!
Don’t want to use vegan cheese, use nutritional yeast to make your own instead or use cashews to make dairy-free cashew cheese. If you do want to make your own buns for these gluten and dairy-free chicken and avocado cheeseburgers then this is a great recipe from The Gluten-Free Blogger on gluten-free buns.
What dairy free cheese is best for this gluten and dairy free chicken+avocado cheese burgers recipe?
If you’re not sure what dairy-free cheese to use, check out my dairy-free cheese guide for the cheese that’s melt-worthy and the cheese that isn’t!

- After 15 minutes, add cheese to top of chicken burgers to allow to melt and cook for a further 15 minutes.
- Peel and chop avocado; lightly mashing to a chunky guac texture.
- Slice and toast gluten free buns (always work better toasted so don’t skip this step).
- Once burgers are cooked, place on buns.
