Hi! As you know, I took a short blog break recently to travel to Thailand. However, despite landing back in England a few days ago, my mind is firmly still on all things holiday. Tomorrow I will be blogging all the pictures from my trip, along with a guide of how I managed to stay gluten and dairy free on the way! However, today I am sharing a recent piece of research by the guys over at My Voucher Codes about what we Brits get up to abroad!

As an ex-expat and traveller, I’ve always been super nervous when encountering police abroad. The language barrier can be really scary! I’m not surprised the UAE ended up on top for the brits arrested while being there. When passing through Abu Dhabi airport on my frequent London- China trips, I would also be really nervous about the sheer amount of security they have- I think we got checked about 4 or 5 times before getting on the plane each time!
However, as someone who blogs about life with a chronic condition, the hospitalisation abroad stats interested me the most! Having returned from Thailand a few days ago, I’m really surprised it’s number 2 on the list! Most places are really chilled and it is one of the few places I’ve visited where I’ve never had any case of ‘traveller’s tummy’! Coincidently, I did after make a quick trip to the doctors myself while I was in Thailand (more on that tomorrow!) and was really impressed with the treatment I received. The doctor spoke excellent English and was even knowledgeable about my crohn’s, which is pretty rare in Asia.
Anyway, I hope you’ve found the research as interesting reading as I have! If you want more info on the stats you can head to here to read the full article.
Happy Friday!
Jenna

Those sour cream pancakes with caramelized pineapple sound absolutely heavenly—such a perfect way to satisfy a carb craving in the most comforting way. I love how you adapted the recipe on the fly and created a topping that feels both indulgent and fresh. The photos and your daughter’s reaction make it even more tempting… I’m ready to dive into a stack myself!
