Video: What I eat in a day (GF, DF, Easy to digest)

Hi, everyone-today I’ve got something a little bit different. I’ve finally got to grips with video! My last ‘what I eat in a day‘ was over a year ago; so I thought it was high time I did another. As some of you might know I have IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and because of that, I personally don’t eat gluten and dairy. But unlike some ‘what I eat in a day videos’; I also focus on naturally ‘free-from alternatives’ where possible; as well as food that’s fairly easy to digest, nutritionally balanced and good for gut health!

what I eat in a day with IBD

Therefore, I’m sure those with IBD will find this particularly of interest- but if you are trying to cut down on too many ‘free from aisle’ products or struggle with digestive issues alongside being gluten-free; it should also give you some inspiration!

Do watch the video below and let me know if you have any questions at all. Personally, after watching it; I don’t think I eat enough-especially since I am trying to gain weight; so it is definitely a work in progress.

A little more information about this ‘what I eat in a day’.

  •  You’ll see I am introducing Sauerkraut into my diet. If you are introducing any probiotic food, do start slowly (this is a useful blog post about how I introduce sauerkraut)
  • The protein powder I’m using currently is purition (hemp and pea powder)
  • I try to limit too much fibre in one sitting so there’s not as much fruit and veg as I’d like! You can read more about trying to get fruit and veg into your diet without impacting your digestion here.
  • The baking subscription box I mention is called bakewell box (which I was kindly gifted)

I’d love to hear your thoughts on my ‘what I eat in a day!’ and do subscribe if you haven’t already!

  1. This was a really interesting “eat in a day” post. I like how it gives a practical look at what a balanced day of eating can actually look like in real life, rather than just listing guidelines. Seeing how meals are structured throughout the day—with a mix of nutrients and simple ingredients—makes it much easier to apply these ideas in daily routines. It’s also a great reminder that consistency and balance across meals are key to maintaining energy and supporting overall health.
