With Christmas just around the corner, one of my favourite things to do is to read gift guides. Most of these centre around fashion or beauty but this year, I thought I’d do my own specifically for those, who like me, are interested in healthy living instead. Whether you’re into healthy foodie treats, natural skincare or the best health books to add to your list– here’s my healthy living Christmas gift guide.  Make sure you read until the end of the post- as there’s a chance to win some goodies from the guide!

Books

  1. Good Gut Guide by Liz Earle (read my full review here)
  2. The Anxiety Solution by Chloe Brotheridge
  3. Managing IBD by err me (come on, if you’d written a book you’d put it in a gift guide too!)
  4. The Balance Plan  by Angelique Panagos

I’ve blogged before about how much I love the Good Gut Guide– it’s got everything from recipes to an in-depth look at how your digestion works. The Anxiety Solution is perfect for those who want a practical approach to dealing with anxiety while The Balance Plan is all about how to balance out your hormones. Finally, my proudest achievement of 2017:my guide to Managing IBD.

Foodie Treats- Part 1 (food)

  1. Christmas Wishes Gift Box by Raw Halo
  2.  Chocolate Making Kit  by Indigo Herbs
  3. Vegan and gluten-free subscription box by The Goodness Project

If you haven’t tried Raw Halo, then you need to! This gift box is full of Christmas inspired flavours such as cinnamon and raisin and ginger and pecan- an amazing alternative to a selection box.

Should you be looking to get more creative, Indigo Herbs chocolate making kit is vegan and means you can experiment with making raw healthy chocolate! The Goodness Project are one of my favourite gluten-free subscription boxes and a vegan version can also be purchased

Foodie Treats- Part 2 (Drink)

  1. Bailey’s Almande Christmas Hamper
  2. Skinny Beer (Gluten Free) available at Tesco’s
  3. Sedlip Non Alcoholic spirit by 31 Dover

Originally I wasn’t planning on alcohol in this gift guide- that’s why I recommended Seedlip- an amazing alcohol-free spirit but as it’s Christmas this Bailey’s Almande hamper (a vegan version of Bailey’s) is a winner as it comes with Booja Booja chocolates too!

I don’t promote weight-loss products, but Skinny Beer is genuinely one of the nicest gluten free beers I’ve tried- and much lighter than most of the others on the market.

Relax and Chill

  1. Relaxation for Two– Smartbox Buy a Gift
  2. Wraparound hot water bottle by YuYu
  3. The Ultimate Sleep Set by Scentered.
  4. Make Your Own Body Scrub Kit by Naissance

As you know, I’ve been desperately trying to make time for myself. The Buy a Gift voucher is great value- at under £60 you can use it to book a spa day for two including treatments at hundreds of different locations (so it’s a super flexible gift too) We used one of these at our local Virgin gym- and the cost of a usual treatment there is £50, yet for £59.99 we both received treatments and full access to the spa for the rest of the day! You can win one of these at the bottom of the post so keep your eyes peeled!

The Yuyu hot water bottle is amazing if you struggle with stomach cramps, while the ultimate sleep set has been great for helping me nod off! As you know, I’m really into natural skin care so this make your own body scrub– using natural ingredients such as coconut oil- is perfect to experiment with!

    5. Indulgent Wellbeing Hamper by Pruv

       6. Women’s PJs by Folk

If you want to put together a bespoke healthy hamper for Christmas, then I would heartily recommend Pruv Wellness. My final gift guide suggestion is these luxury cotton hotel worthy PJs. As you know, I write freelance and one of my most recent commissions was reviewing duvets- along the way I came across these 100% cotton PJs and I’m now a complete convert! Now I’m on the hunt for a dressing gown to match.

Living with IBD has taught me the value of being kind to yourself. I love the guide and agree absolutely that your book belongs in it.
